Kitchen Deep Cleaning....
prep stuff day before deep cleaning- you need a small bucket, gloves, dawn, vinegar, borax, A&H soap suds, oven cleaner, rags, small scrub brush, nylon scrubby, sos pads.
day of deep cleaning...
1.empty clean dishes out of dishwasher (or do up any dishes you have in your sink.)
2.load in dirty dishes in dishwasher or wash them up by hand. run as soon as full.
3.put a med. bowl of water with 1/2 cup of vinegar in micro. and run for 5 minutes.
4.empty your oven and either spray cleaner on it or start auto clean cycle. ( i prefer hand cleaning due to the oven/stove getting so hot and the risk of fire.)
5.remove bowl from microwave (HOT!!!!!) and dump it into the bucket. now remove the glass plate and wipe it clean. wipe micro. interior use a small brush if necessary. wipe micro dry, put plate back, and wipe door. DONE!!
6. make cleaning mix with the water you already added to the bucket. fill bucket to 1/2 way with hot water, add 1 more cup of vinegar, 1/8 cup of dawn, 2 tbsp of borax, 2tbsp of washing suds, stir, and ready to use.
7. wipe exterior of micro., cupboard above, and stove below.
8.empty lower cabinets, wipe interiors clean, purge unused items, make sure kept items are clean, place back in cupboard, and note any items needed or org. tools needed.
9. empty 1 drawer at a time, wipe it down, purge items that are unused in last 6 months or broken, note any needed items, put items back.
10. take all purged items to vehicle to donate tonight or tomorrow.
11. dump dirty water and remake cleaning solution.
12. clean off refrigerator, wipe it clean, purge items ontop or on the refrig. list needed items, clean upper cabinet, replace items that go back.
13.clean your refrigerator coils, clean under and behind refrigerator. put refrig. back
14. now is when i would clean the inside of the refrig.( except mine is clean ;p ) don't for get to purge...
15. clean all the upper outer cabinets, backsplashes, the counters,the lower outer cabinets. (no i don't clean the inside uppers because honestly the don't need it quarterly like i do the rest of the kitchen. i just do the annually or as needed.)
16. remove all wall items on other walls, wash down walls top to bottom, wipe down items, replace items.
17. take out all trash, wash trash can, replace trash bag.
18. take all donations to van.
19. deep clean dishwasher fill a sm/med bowl with 1+ cup of HOT vinegar, add some soap as usual, and run a full cycle on hottest settings. (do not dry tho) after wipe down exterior, open door, wipe seals and trim areas.
20. wipe out oven, put back the clean oven racks, Done (easy oven rack cleaning- i put them in the tub with a couple squirts of Dawn and hot water. today i saw a note about using softner sheets as well in the water. not sure how good it will work we'll see.)
21. dump your water and make new mix.
22.sweep your floor, scrub your floor by hand, let floor dry, dump your water and make new mix, scrub your floor by hand, let floor dry, dump your water and make new mix, do a hot vinegar/hot water rinse then let dry

Bathroom Deep cleaning....

day of deep cleaning...
1. remove everything from walls, drawers and cabinets and place them outside the bathroom.
2. take a broom to the ceiling and remove all cobwebs and debris
3. wipe down the ceiling light fixture and fan with a dry rag
4. remove any other light fixture and place in tub, add hot water and 2 large squirts of dawn, let fixtures soak.
5. now make cleaning mix in bucket
6. either add a rag to the end of your broom or use a mop dedicated to cleaning walls and start scrubbing your walls. rinse the rag or mop often in your bucket.
7. plunge your toilet to remove water. then add baking soda, 1 squirt of dawn, and vinegar to the toilet and let sit for 5 minutes. then start scrubbing it down.
8. take a scrub brush to your soaking fixtures to get the good and clean, let the tub drain with them in the tub still.
9. while tub draining start wiping the shower down with your cleaning mix.
10. now soak your counter and toilet completely down with your cleaner and let them sit for 5 minutes. after soaking, wipe them down with a slightly dampened with your cleaner new rag, and wipe dry with another rag.
11. spray down the mirror and wipe dry
12. use same mirror rag and wipe the faucets down to a shine and any other top surface that needs shined up.
12. now tackle the inside of your cabinets and drawers wipe them clean and dry them.
13. time to purge any old, unused, or broken items. wipe down the rest and put them back in cabinets.
14.now take the window cleaner to your fixture and scrub them again. then wipe dry and put back where they belong.
15. wipe out the tub/bottom of shower whatever. if necessary give it a deep scrub.
16. look around and see if you missed anything... if so get it now.
17. put out fresh towels and washrags.
18. aha--- did you remember to wipe the door and door handle down?? many people forget it when cleaning--blech!!
19. last but not at all least scrub your floor get into all the nooks and crannys and wash your way out the door.

maintenance tips--
wipe it down every morning and evening after teeth brushing. i keep homemade wipes in there for these clean ups. also teach your children (and hubby) to completely rinse the sink and even wipe it with the towel after they use it. A toilet tip, teach your children to wipe the seat or rim with clean toilet paper after each use before the flush. my daily maintenance take me about 5 minutes in the am for both bathrooms and 10 minutes at night because i include the floor.

What You Need
Liquid dishwashing soap
Distilled white vinegar
Baking Soda
Rock salt
Lemon or lime
Ice
Old rag
Toothbrush
Nylon or soft sponge
Instructions
1. For daily cleaning, a mild soap and nylon sponge or soft rag can be used to wipe it clean. An all-purpose or glass cleaner can be used in a pinch, but it's important to avoid ammonia, bleach, or abrasive cleaners on stainless steel. Abrasive sponges should also be avoided; all of these can alter the sink's finish. After cleaning, rinse and wipe the sink dry with a soft towel or rag.
2. First thoroughly rinse out your sink. On a daily basis, it's important to rinse out your sink after each use. The salt and acid in food can potentially damage the finish of a stainless steel sink, so it's important to rinse food and liquids to prevent pitting.
3. After wetting the entire surface of your sink, sprinkle baking soda onto the surface. Work the baking soda into a paste and rinse thoroughly.
4. To clean the caulk seal and around the top of the sink, I like to use a soft-bristle toothbrush soaked with a baking soda paste or a mild soap and gently scrub the rim. Rinse, repeat, and wipe with a soft rag until the rag comes clean. Dont have to do this...If you have a garbage disposal, I also use this technique to clean the the rubber flap, gently inverting it so you can also clean the underside. You'd be surprised about the amount of gook hiding down there!
5. After finishing the last step, line the entire sink with paper towels soaked in white vinegar. Allow it to sit for 20 minutes and then dispose of the paper towels. I will keep the towels and wipe the inside of the refrigerator with them...
6. Using a nylon sponge, saturate it with soapy water and then clean the sink, followed by a good rinse.
7. I don't have on of these, but would be good for cleaning the drains anyways ;) ....For sinks with a garbage disposal, pour one half cup of baking soda down the kitchen drain. Add one cup of white vinegar on top of the baking soda. The mixture will fizz and make a bit of noise. Allow this to work for a few minutes while you boil a kettle of hot water. Once it has boiled, pour it down the drain.
8. I get to skip this step!! Fill the drain with two cups of ice. Pour a cup of rock salt over the ice cubes. Run the cold water and turn on the garbage disposal until the ice is gone. The ice/salt mixture will help loosen the grime and debris from the grinding elements.
9. Cut a lemon or lime in half. With the water on and garbage disposal running, add the fruit one at a time to the disposal. The fruit will help clean your drain and make it smell good at the same time. This is also a great way to use citrus fruit that's on its way out.
10. For the faucets and handles, wipe with a mild soapy solution. The toothbrush can be used to get in the hard-to-reach areas. Again, if spots remain, a cloth soaked in white vinegar can be used. Once you're finished cleaning, thoroughly rinse once more time and dry with a soft rag. Your sink should now be sparkly clean!
